Lecture Presentation

Presentations Skills That Work

We skip the stuff you have already heard about what makes a good presentation and get straight to the tips and tricks that make you and your company stand out. From how you open your presentation to how you close (the second time!), this highly interactive program builds confidence, competence, and creativity in participants. Fair warning: you’ll never deliver a presentation or speak on the spot the same way again. While the focus of this program appears to be what you say and how you say it, it’s true goal is to examine that from your audience’s perspective. What do they see, hear and feel?

Suggested length is a full day (in-person with individual coaching) or two 90 minute sessions plus breakout coaching (virtual).

Suggested audience: Individuals, groups, managers, supervisors, emerging leaders, new hires.

“I wanted to take a moment to thank you and Christina for taking the time to work with us. The two of you make a great team. Very energetic, knowledgeable, and passionate about your classes.  You made learning interesting.”

Virtual Engagement Skills That Work

How do you connect and communicate remotely? It starts with your virtual image. We check lighting, camera angle, background, body language and audio clarity. From there, participants discover how to break through the barriers of web cameras (or lack of) and remote distractions. This is a fast-paced program with activities that lead to actionable ways to measure and maintain your audience’s attention in a virtual setting. Frequently requested learning points include how to work with distractions instead of against them, how to use language that requires engagement, web camera etiquette, and visual aid best practices.

Suggested Length: 2.5 Hours

Emotional Intelligence (facilitator certified)

Emotional Intelligence is the number one predictor of job success. EQ is the ability to recognize and manage emotions in yourself, others, and in groups.  It’s based in science and like a muscle – and unlike our IQ – it can be grown.

This program begins with a scored self-assessment and moves through the fundamental four quadrants that make up Emotional Intelligence. A conversation based approach allows for group sharing and discovery.

Customizable content includes but is not limited to: Empathy Skills, Active Listening, Conflict Resolution, Difficult Conversations, Giving and Receiving Feedback, Adaptability, Teamwork, and Psychological Safety. Suggested Length: Half Day (in person) or 2 Hours (virtual).

You can see a sample Emotional Intelligence assessment here.

“The presentation and the facilitators knowledge on this topic were extremely rewarding and will be used by me.”

DISC Behavioral Styles (facilitator certified)

Our DISC workshop identifies the four basic personality and communication styles. The foundation of this popular workshop is laid with a DISC behavioral assessment, giving participants an intimate understanding of their own style. We’ll discover how that style works both for and against you. Key strategies to identify and adapt to other’s styles are identified through a mix of breakout groups, hands-on activities and open discussion.

* Speak Training partners with Assessments 24x7, a global leader with more than 7 million assessments delivered, to administer DISC reports. DISC provides a highly-detailed analysis of each individual’s Natural and Adapted behavioral styles. DISC reveals how a person will most likely behave within a given environment, situation, or relationship. It offers prescriptive lessons designed to highlight and maximize self-awareness, intentionality, and interpersonal communication, personally and professionally.

You may see a sample report here.
